SAYE - Extra 8 - Crazy (End)
When Jiang Cheng ran shoulder to shoulder with Gu Fei against the old north wind, he felt like he was going crazy.
“Are you cold?” Gu Fei shouted in his ear.
“I'm not cold!” Jiang Cheng pulled on the scarf around his neck, which Gu Fei had knitted for him; it was a very thick cashmere scarf.
Every year, Gu Fei took the time to knit scarves and sweaters before each winter, and sometimes he brought them to the studio when he couldn't find the time and knitted during his breaks.
The scarves and sweaters were for him; now Gu Miao no longer used the threads in the hands of a loving brother, the girl liked to wander the streets looking for clothes she thought were fashionable, however, every year, he eagerly awaited the warm garments that Gu Fei knitted for him.
“Probably, I'll start sweating if I run a bit more!” Gu Fei continued shouting.
“I'm not deaf!” Jiang Cheng shouted back.
“Isn't it because it's windy?!” Gu Fei yelled.
“The wind isn't strong enough for us to need to shout, right?” Jiang Cheng returned to his normal volume.
Gu Fei laughed for a long time: “I don't know, I'm a bit excited.”
“... Me too.” Jiang Cheng admitted.
The two continued running together, the wind didn't seem as strong as before, maybe because they had warmed up after running for so long, or maybe it was just the excitement.
It had been a long time since they had been like this, running along the river in the cold wind and heavy snow, doing something senseless, without purpose or reason.
It was inexplicably comfortable.
After running a little longer, Gu Fei's phone rang, he took it out and looked at it: “Jiuri.”
“Is it about the cruise?” Jiang Cheng said.
“Probably”, Gu Fei answered the phone, “hello?”
“Hey... What's all that noise? Wind? Da Fei, where are you?” Wang Xu's voice came from the other side, “why is the wind so strong?
“I'm running by the river.” Gu Fei explained.
“What...? Is that Da Fei's phone?” Wang Xu sounded surprised, “sorry, wrong number.”
Then he hung up.
“What's up?” Jiang Cheng asked.
“He said he dialled the wrong number” Gu Fei declared.
Before Jiang Cheng could say anything, his phone rang in his pocket and he took it out:”Now he's calling me.”
“Hello?” Jiang Cheng answered the phone and put it on speaker.
“What the hell?” Wang Xu's surprised voice came again, “are you Jiang Cheng?
“Yes”, confirmed Jiang Cheng, “that was Gu Fei too.
“Are you two running by the river on a day like this?” Wang Xu was still surprised.
“Hm”, Jiang Cheng replied, “what's up?”
“Damn, alright”, said Wang Xu, “I'll call back when you two are done being crazy, I'm so cold just from hearing the wind that my teeth are about to chatter.”
“You're weak.” Jiang Cheng said.
“I'm not as strong as you two, after all, I'm a normal person and can't bear this stimulation, I'm going to hang up, you two really aren't human!” Wang Xu hung up the phone with pain and indignation.
“... This call wasn't for us.” Jiang Cheng looked at Gu Fei.
“I'm still pretty strong.” Gu Fei said.
“I'm strong too.” Jiang Cheng replied.
“Ah.” Gu Fei looked at him.
Jiang Cheng also looked at Gu Fei. It had been a long time, maybe a year, or at least half a year, since he felt this impulse, which he missed and had lost long ago, to want to laugh. Jiang Cheng gritted his teeth and persisted. Gu Fei cleared his throat and pulled up his scarf, covering half of his face.
“I saw you.” Jiang Cheng pointed.
“What?” Gu Fei said.
“Your damn eyes are smiling! What's the point of pretending?!” Jiang Cheng insisted.
“Really?” Gu Fei lowered his scarf again, tensed his face for a couple of seconds at most before a smile emerged from the corner of his lips again.
“Damn it.” Jiang Cheng cursed, leaned against the tree behind him, and started laughing uncontrollably.
Gu Fei also followed suit and started laughing uncontrollably.
“I'm sweating, Jiang Cheng finally stopped, sighed heavily, and raised his hand to touch the back of his neck, “this is freaking much more effective than running.”
“Let me see.” Gu Fei extended his hand.
“Your hands are cold!” Jiang Cheng pulled away his hand “, if you touch me, I'll slap you.”
“Then let me warm them up.” Gu Fei started rubbing his hands like crazy and, after vigorously rubbing them, he touched the back of Jiang Cheng's neck.
Jiang Cheng was surprised for a few seconds, after rubbing for a long time, the temperature didn't increase at all.
“Damn it”, Jiang Cheng jumped and slapped his hand away, “you rubbed your hands with ice...”
“Yes”, Gu Fei nodded, “Cheng-ge, your hands won't warm up even if you rub them on such a snowy day like this.”
Jiang Cheng looked at him without saying anything. —
“Shall I help you warm up?” Gu Fei suddenly opened his scarf and pulled it around his neck, “Cheng-ge.”
“Wow? Do you have that much attitude?” Jiang Cheng stared at him and suddenly felt a bit excited.
“The last one to arrive will do the household chores for a month.” Gu Fei quickly said, then turned around and ran off.
“Screw you!” Jiang Cheng was stunned for a moment before running after him, “Do you want some face?!”
“No, I don’t! “ Gu Fei shouted.
